Pedagogy BA

The aim of the degree programme is to provide education for future professionals who will be knowledgeable about the areas of society, culture, and in the world of learning and teaching. They are prepared to comprehend the processes of learning and pedagogical development both of individuals and of groups of learners in the context of educational institutions, as well as in professional and civic associations. They contribute to this development with their high quality committed work performance. They are prepared to provide professional assistance in carrying out a variety of tasks related to education both within and outside schools, in institutions which provide the administrative background to the system of education, and to carry out tasks and projects which require basic qualifications in pedagogy. They are committed to the practice of life-long learning. They can carry out their tasks autonomously. They are prepared to continue their studies at MA level.

Educational Science MA

The programme is designed to produce specialists with adequate skills in the application of knowledge acquired in the field of Educational Studies. Graduates will be able to act as researchers in the primary, secondary, or higher education systems, in educational administration, and will be capable of applying their professional knowledge in these areas. They will be able to participate in educational system operation tasks and publish the findings of Hungarian educational studies at national and international professional fora. Graduates are also well suited to continuing their studies at PhD level.

Mental Health in Relations and Community Development MA

The aim of the programme is to educate experts in Mental Health, Relation and Community Development, whose expertise contributes to facilitating the processes of preventing problems to arise and of problem-solving processes at the individual and community level. They are also trained to assist in solving social problems, and in diminishing the amount of these problems, as well as to assist in strengthening local communities. They are able to develop community networks and act as their leaders, which entails activities – assistance, development and protection - carried out in local communities, in businesses, in civic society, in church organizations. Primarily, their work focuses on the biological; psychological, and social wellbeing of those involved in communities, their work attempts to sustain and strengthen the effectiveness of social action for change. They are able to support the work and the development of communities by recognizing the human resources which can be channelled into the sustenance of the communities, in the interest of the participants’ individual wellbeing, social integration and accountability in society. They are prepared to continue their studies at PhD level.
